No Christmas for Calvin

Oh Calvin, what are we going to do with you??  You are always getting into trouble and into things you aren't supposed to so I thought I would document your shenanigans to show Santa you don't need any toys for Christmas.  You have so many fun toys, but you wouldn't know that because you hardly ever play with them. Instead, you like to play with other household items, so here is what you are getting for Christmas instead of toys......  

 A pillow:  You stole the pillow off the couch and pulled the stuffing out

A highchair tray: You think you are so sneaky when you figure out how to get these down off the highchairs.

Tupperware: There were toys ALL around you, but you were playing with this.

 An ottoman: You pulled the stings and fabric out from under our ottoman. You little stinker! I knew there had to be a reason why you were so quiet!

 Bar stools: The first day you were in your walker you figured out how to knock over chairs. You think you are so funny!

 Play gym: Well, I have to give you credit....you ARE playing with a toy! I don't think "playing" is the correct word....more like "destroying" it!

And on a different day you decided to destroy it and then take it apart too. Somehow you figured out how to get the plastic out of it that holds it all together.

 Sweatshirt strings: You love any kind of string. I'm pretty sure these sweatshirt strings are the only reason you want to cuddle with me some days :)

A dishwasher: You come crawling over whenever I have the dishwasher open. One day I left it open while I helped another kiddo in the bathroom and when I came out you went running across the kitchen in your walker with a butter knife...I'm pretty sure you were licking the butter off of it! (oops....mom of the year here! I thought he couldn't reach it....but he is sneaky like that!)

 Well, you are actually playing with a toy here too, but if you look closely...you managed to get your leg stuck in the helicopter! Yes...you put your leg all the way through it. You never fail to amaze me!!

 Plastic containers and lids: Not only good toys....apparently they make good pillows too :)

Highchairs and straps: One of your favorite places to play. 

 Cardboard box: Oh boy....the things you find while you walk in your walker! You'd make a cute Diet Coke model though!

Magazines: Fun to tear up

 And fun to eat :)

Plastic bags: You figured out how to open the bottom drawer and get the plastic bags out. 

Pantry items: Chocolate chips, Ziplock bags, can of green beans...yes sir! Santa will be bringing you all of these things this year!

You have less than two weeks to redeem yourself Calvin or else Santa will be bringing you plastic bags, Tupperware containers and old magazines, while Miles gets all the toys. Are you going to be on Santa's Naughty or Nice list mister???
