Twins: Three months old!!

Guess who is THREE MONTHS OLD already????  We are!!!

We are getting pretty good at this whole smiling for the camera thing :) Mom promises she will stop taking pictures of us if we give her one good smile (Calvin only had to take one picture for our three month photo shoot....lucky!)

We had our three month pictures taken. Mom was nervous about how we would do because we were MAD in the car ride there and we didn't take a good nap beforehand. BUT we pulled out a few smiles just to make her happy.

Mom started doing daycare again at the end of April. We like watching our new friends....they wear us out!

Speaking of sleeping....we have become terrible nappers. Our schedule was perfect for the first two months of our lives and now since daycare has started our napping is out of control. We take short naps or else one of us takes a long one and the other takes a short one and then we switch at the next nap time. Mommy doesn't like that.....but we just want to cuddle with her.

At the beginning of May mom left us to go to Las Vegas for her friend Jessica's bachelorette party. We missed her a lot over the weekend, but dad did a great job with the two of us. We're pretty sure he is SUPER DAD!

We celebrated Mother's Day by giving mommy a card and three canvases with our pictures on them. She loves them (and us!)  Don't mind our bedhead and pajamas....it was early!  Speaking of early....we no longer wake up in the middle of the night anymore!!  We go to bed at 8:00 and sleep until 6 or 7!! That's right....we sleep for almost 11 hours! I think mom and dad like that :)

Opening my first Mother's Day gift 

Mom and Dad both started playing softball again. Dad plays on Tuesday nights and Mom plays on Wednesdays. We have been to a few games. The weather has been SO NICE since the day we were born (in February) so we never got to wear our cute snowsuits. Don't worry....mom dressed us up just so she could take our picture :) Don't we make cute little bears?

We had a baby shower with the Guthart side of the family. We got lots of great gifts! But most importantly, we met our great-grandma, a few of our great-aunts and some wild and crazy cousins!!

We are dirty birdies, but luckily we love bath time. We have to take a bath every other night. Mom wonders how two little BABIES can get so dirty...   We've discovered our hands so we are a sticky icky mess all the time. 

Speaking of dirty....Calvin is an extremely messy eater!  We call him "white beard"...you can see why!

TMI: Calvin poops every 48 hours (exactly! @ the 10AM feeding every time!) and it is a blowout almost every time! Nasty boy! Mom has learned to strip him down to his diaper at that feeding. 

About Miles:  Miles is still our super smiley baby. BUT he can go from SUPER happy to SUPER mad in about 10 seconds. He has a ridiculously funny whine and makes a pathetic noise until someone picks him up.  He loves to be held and loves looking around. He has caught up to his brother...at their 2 month doctor appointment he was only 3 ounces smaller than Calvin. He cracks us up with all of his funny facial expressions and dramatic ways. He has started to laugh lately which is super cute and fun to hear. Does he realize that he is going to be tickled constantly now so I can hear that cute giggle??

About Calvin:  Calvin is still our sweet, quiet boy. Although....he HAS discovered his voice a little more lately and cries more often now (which still isn't much). He cried real tears for only the third time a few weeks ago. He no longer likes his pacifier and when we offer it to him he acts like we are trying to poison him...silly boy! Calvin passed his second hip ultrasound with flying colors....no leg braces for him! He loves playing on the floor and kicking his legs...we joke that he runs a marathon everyday because his legs are constantly "running". We meet with a developmental specialist in a few weeks to check on Calvin's development (they do this for all the babies who were in the NICU). He still doesn't hold his head up great....but YOU wouldn't either if it was in the 99th percentile! Poor boy has a big, heavy noggin!

Mommy's been really bad about blogging lately. Apparently she doesn't have much time these days. Who knew???  Hopefully she can do a little better this month. Thanks for reading about us and checking out our pictures!
